The atmosphere was quite like his first book (The Silent Patient), which I absolutely love. Good read!

I loved Alex's first book so have been reading every book he's released since. But being honest, the quality of the first book has not been matched, good book still, good twist, but if a book only has a twist to hold it then it collapses quite fast, other than the twist there wasn't really much to the book.

Was one of my first novels. Easy to read and hard to put down. Couldn't see the ending coming. Very well written, loved it!
Underwhelming
Positions itself to be a life changing book explaining the Japanese way of life and meaning of true purpose, ends up being just another self help book telling you to eat healthy and make some friends.
